Mr. Brandolin, Podestà in Treviso, caused to restore the dome of the Municipal Tower, located in Piazza dei Signori.
   
1721: The Teatro Dolfin was opened.
   
1774: The first street-lamps were located to guarantee the public lighting in Treviso; Mr. Francesco Donà was Podestà at that time.
   
March 12, 1782: The Pope Pio VI visited Treviso and thus he blessed the people from the Duomo (Cathedral).

October 22, 1788: The Teatro Onigo, planned by Bibiena, was opened; then this Theatre was called "Teatro della Società" and after "Teatro Comunale" (Municipal Theatre).
   
March 11, 1797: The Chiesa di San Nicolò (Church of St. Nicolò) lodged many injured persons produced by a bloody clash between French and Austrian troops near the river Piave.
   
May 16, 1797: The French army occupied Venice.
   
May, 1797: The French army entered Treviso, many soldiers settled down in the Churches (inclusive the Duomo), which were stripped of their treasure. New laws were issued and a new municipality was made. The St. Marco’s banner, Venice emblem, was banned and it was tried to discredit the government of the Maritime Republic, which was just fallen.
   
November 9, 1797: The day of open-air market was moved from Monday to Tuesday.
   
January 16, 1798: The Austrian army took over Treviso further to the Trattato di Campoformio - called "Campoformido" now - (the Campoformio Treaty), Francesco I was emperor at that moment.
   
April 12, 1799: The Russian troops of the emperor, many Cossack officers, 500 Cossack cavalrymen and 2000 French prisoners, escorted by Austrian pickets, arrived at Treviso.
   
May 19, 1799: A thousand French and Piedmontese prisoners got to Treviso.
   
June 18, 1799: The funeral service of the German soldiers, died in battle against the French army, was celebrated in Duomo and in the Chiesa di Santa Maria Maggiore (Church of St. Maria Maggiore).
   
January 14, 1801: The French troops entered again Treviso to cash from the town those rates Austria’d have to have paid to France as the war expenditure. Thus the French assumed command of the town for few months.
   
February 9, 1801: The peace treaty between Austria and France was concluded: the Austria controlled Venice, Trevisan ground, Dalmatia and so on.
   
April 4, 1801: The French army left Treviso after the brief period needed to collect taxes, their place was taken by the Austrian troops.
   
1803: The Complex of St. Caterina, including the Church, was turned into an arsenal.
