INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF ILLUSTRATIONS FOR CHILDREN AT SARMEDE - ITALY

26th Edition

THE SONGS OF ICES, TALES FROM ARCTIC REGIONS

International Exhibition of Illustrations for Children at Sarmede – Italy, 26th edition, is entitled The songs of ices, tales from Arctic regions this year.
The songs of ices in Sarmede, as the legend from Lapland, are the creaks the Big Old Walrus makes when he turns over in its bedding during the long Arctic nights. This is a clear reference to environmental issues as superheating earth and consequent unnatural thawing of Polar icecap that you can circumnavigate now.

Mr. Ivan Gantschev, of Bulgarian extraction, is German illustrator; he is special guest of 26th International Exhibition of Illustrations for Children at Sarmede, entitled The songs of ices. A part of Illustration Exhibition at Sarmede is dedicated to wonderful watercolours by Mr. Ivan Gantschev.
The show in Sarmede is become the International Exhibition of Illustrations for Children pre-eminently now; the past editions of this event have been re-exhibited in several Italian towns as Thiene, Rovigo and at Ca da Noal Museum in Treviso, but also in many states in the world as France, Spain, Slovenia, Germany, Turkey, Switzerland and many others.

About forty illustrators will attend a 26th International Exhibition of Illustrations for Children at Sarmede where some hundreds works will be showed. These illustrations make reference to atmospheres of the north of Europe where the Nature is less influenced by human presence and it is suited to become an imaginary place for stories, legend, tales and sagas so far to us.
