|
- The show "Alle origini di Treviso: dal Villaggio
all’abitato dei Veneti antichi" is open to
the public now in the Complex of St. Caterina.
It is an interesting collection about what was found in the excavations
done in the historic centre of town (Piazza Sant’Andrea,
Piazza San Pio X and Piazza dei Signori) in the last 30 years,
besides those already present in the Luigi Bailo’s gathering.
We may see some objects made by ceramic material (earthenware)
and by bronze (as hatchets, swords and barbs, which were often
found near the river Sile) among these; most of these tools dates
back to pre-Romanesque age.
